The LTC 27148 Multi Curve plate is an NIJ 0101.04 Certified Level 4 ICW Plate.Starting at just 5.51lbs per plate (small) and 0.6" thick the LTC 27148 is capable of withstanding multiple hits of .30-06 M2 AP, 7.62x54R B32 API, 7.62x51mm M61 AP, M80A1, M855A1 and 7.62x39 API.
The LTC 27148 series plates are manufactured with an alumina ceramic core with a crack arrestor and aramid backing.
The LTC 27148 is an ICW Level 4 plate which means it requires Level IIIA soft armor backing to reach its full rating.
Standalone we estimate this to have roughly a Special Threat - Level III+ rating.
These also come in a 8x10 and 10x12 Swimmers/ Shooters Cut size which is the model 27105 and 27112.
